Nomination Begins For the 2012 BlackBerry Developer Community Awards


RIM has announced the beginning of the nomination process for the 2012 BlackBerry Developer Community Awards. This community-based recognition system highlights the movers and shakers of the BlackBerry developer community as well as the most active members on forums and twitter.

Nominees will be finalized on September 16th followed by a round of open voting ending on the 25th. Winners will be announced and presented with awards at this year’s BlackBerry Jam Americas TweetUp. To nominate someone, you can do so either through Twitter or RIM’s online form.

This year’s awards are comprised of 6 categories:

  • Must-Follow BlackBerry Developer on Twitter
  • Must-Read BlackBerry Developer Blog
  • Must-See BlackBerry Developer Evangelist
  • Most Helpful BlackBerry Team Member on Twitter
  • Most Helpful Contributor to the BlackBerry Developer Forums
  • Best Open Source Contribution
